Astrophyllite Tag Pendant
The tag pendant was created using shibuichi, a blend of silver and copper, which allows for creation of the beautiful texture. The metals are melted together in a crucible, poured into an ingot mold and rolled through a mill until the proper thickness is acquired. The piece was then textured with use of a torch, cut into shape and completed with a sterling silver chain. The pendant was then given a patina finish which enhances and highlights the beauty of the shibuichi. This pendant is accented by the gem astrophyllite and has been made to allow the wearer the option to flip between the patina finish and the pinkish silver of the shibuichi.
